Easy Money from eBay Sales

Easy Money from eBay Sales eBay is one of the most popular online sites that individuals and small businesses use for retail sales, because it is well known for its high sales success rates. How many eBay-type bidding/selling sites can you think of right now? Most people couldn’t name another site comparable to eBay, and those that can, probably have to think about it. If you want a work from home business, or one you can run from anywhere, this is very likely a good opportunity for you. With eBay, you can set up your online store and provide your own products to sell. You list each item using the data entry system eBay provides. This system is so simple the first time I tried it out, just to see how it worked, I nearly posted a book sitting on my table before I realized that I was about to complete the “product” setup. You can sell through an Individual account, or subscribe to a Premier/Business account, which has many cost saving advantages. Using PayPal, you can accept credit card payments under either membership, but the fees are higher under the Individual account, and there are restrictions that put various limits on transactions and how payments can be received. Setting up as a Premier/Business account is the only sensible option if you plan to do this long term. While many people sell things they’ve had stored in garages or attics you may not want to bother with these kinds of items. Assuming you don’t have an established business with an inventory, you can couple with a service such as Shopster to gain access to about 1,000,000 brand name products. In a previous article we talked about Shopster in detail. What we didn’t mention is Shopster’s agreement with eBay that makes it possible for Shopster members to list their inventory products using an interface accessible through your Shopster store. Later in this article I’ll give you a link to three videos that guide you through the ease of setting up an eBay account, and then linking your Shopster independent store to your eBay account. This combination gives you an additional, high-profile outlet for your products, with many additional marketing tools. The first video is a 14-minute presentation by Terry Gehrke, a certified education specialist trained by eBay. In this video he describes drop-ship selling on eBay. Gehrke takes you through the different selling formats, how to pick products to sell, how to set prices, when to start and end a sale, the difference between selling products through bidding, “Buy it Now,” or setting up a store. He covers the eBay fees involved in placing a product, which amount to a couple dollars per item. He reveals some of the power-seller secrets, and why they are an advantage to you. He also gives you a priceless tip–the most important element in selling your product–and how to use it to you best advantage. The second video is a 12-minute presentation by Matt Cox (Shopster’s eBay Listing Manager) and Terry Gehrke (a seasoned eBay power-seller) about positioning your store and products on eBay to increase sales. Gehrke and Cox show you how to post your Shopster products on your eBay account, giving you the best of both marketing worlds. They take you through the steps of choosing a product from the Shopster inventory and setting it up for an eBay auction. Woven throughout this presentation are tips for positioning your product, retaining potential customers, and gaining repeat buyers. The third video is a wonderful 44-minute presentation by Peter Koisumi, Shopster Marketing Manager, on search engine optimization, commonly referred to as SEO. Peter’s presentation is loaded with information you’re not likely to find anywhere this easily, nor learn this quickly. He goes into great detail about how the Internet search engines work, how to gain a high SEO ranking, what kinds of keywords work best, and when to use different types of words and phrases. Much of this work is made easier if you do choose to enroll your Shopster store as an eBay store. The two services combine product information and pictures, with use of a template that guides you through choosing your meta tags and meta descriptions, product descriptions, pricing, choice of eBay sales method, and the ability to make your store unique. Peter shows you several strategies for positioning your website, how to research eBay sales outcomes for products similar to yours, and how to research the Internet to see where your competitors are linked. He also gives tips on how to get your site linked through other sites that can help drive customers to your store. Between eBay, PayPal, and Shopster, you’ll get a full range of services including credit card services, secure payment, customer information, and a high profile Internet identity. Take time to watch the videos at Make Cash Anywhere and see how easy it is to have your own online business up and running in no time at all. In addition to all this, once you have your eBay account set up, you can clean out your attic, once and for all and make some money doing it.
